This is a backwards compatible version of en-US for Joomla 1.5.x through Joomla 1.5.15
A couple of minor changes can make a huge difference in a website.
First and foremost, the presence of en-US and the location tags embedded into your Meta tags will help with search engine optimization.
Also, the time format is corrected!
A few obnoxious differences of the British version of English have been tweaked.
Not to mention, your users will notice when they choose their default language upon registration, that the webmaster and the user are on the same island :)
