Next, we decide on one, or 2, or more domain names to use for your website.  The domain name is your identity to the world, so a substaintial amount of thought should go into the decision.  Also, multiple versions of the domain name, or multiple domain extensions are advised heavily. Quite frankly, we can cater to your domain needs, but one primary domain must be chosen.

Web Hosting

If you are a prospective client of Digitalized Media, you must understand that this is a one stop shop.  We provide a comprehensive web hosting product as a stand alone item.  It is without hesitation that we utilized the same services for our own clients.

Any website that we give a development quote for includes a full year of comprehensive web hosting with whichever package best fits your need.  There will be no hidden costs, with only a few possible exceptions.  In the event your website explodes with bandwidth or data storage that far exceeds the maximum package, you may be subject to whatever overage charges are incurred.  Our team will inform the client of any discrepancies well in advance.  That said, this has never even come close to happening.

Your hosting will be full featured, with full access to the cPanel, which will allow the user to easily add/remove email accounts, access to webmail, check out website statistics, and much much more.  Our customers also know that after their one year development contract has expired, they can continue seemlessly as a web hosting customer without an interruption in service.

Why do we include the hosting for free?  Because we design with a system called "Joomla!", and there are certain needs the web hosting server needs to meet to make the websites run at optimal performance.  Our servers are completely optimized for this software.  Also, its just the right thing to do.

Web Development

This is where the labor intensive part of what we do comes in.  Following your consultation, we get started on the initial layout.  In a Joomla CMS website, this includes the general structure, graphic appearance, and navigation creation.  These steps, before continuing, will be reviewed with your for compliance with your goals.  Once complete, we proceed with content creation.  The content creation is where our interaction with you is paramount.  No one knows what to say about your business better than you.  We will retro fit what you provide to appease the search engines.

Search Engine Optimzation (SEO)

So the website is done, now lets make sure it gets found. This is the area that is touchy for a lot of web developers out there, and rightfully so.  To be blunt, Google changes there analytics all the time, so it is very hard to keep up. Still, that being said, your website will have effective keywords, well written content, language optimized, and you will have a strong case of great search engine placement.

Website Management

Great!  Site is done and "live".  Now what?  Since we use the very intuitive Joomla! CMS, most of these tasks are easy for the novice computer user.  Frankly, if you can send an email or use Facebook, you can use a majority of the built in features.  However, some of the updates will require some heavy lifting.  Your contract with us will include a pre-determined amount of hours which are pre-paid as part of the payment for services rendered.  We will monitor that constantly, and if a client gets in danger of running over, we will work something out.  Again, this has never come up, however, we do have a pricing grid.  A pricing grid will be included with the contract, so fees for additional updates are locked in as of contract signing.
